Contacts Search.   Lexbe's Google™-like interface searches the full text of all documents in the applicable case, and returns 'hits' in the form of your search term, with surrounding text to provide context.  Various filters are available to aid with your search, depending on what information you are looking for. You can choose the appropriate filter, including 'All of the words', 'Any of the words', 'The exact phrase' and advanced 'Boolean expressions'.  Lexbe also supports concept search, so you are able to find responsive documents that might otherwise be overlooked.

The search document window displays documents and are ranked according to how often and how prominently your search terms appear in the text. At the top of the search results page, you'll see how many total documents your search found. For example, you may see "Documents found: 10" as in the example below. The results also indicate other important information , such as the document date, Bates number, if a key document, if notes are attached and if it has been reviewed previously.   (Access from top menu: Search)

The Browse Folder Window gives you a "Microsoft Explorer" type tree view, and shows all of the folders that have been set up in the case. Folders include groupings of court documents, such as pleadings, depositions, orders, as well as specific document types produced in discovery, such as letters, memos, email, etc.  (Access from top menu: Browse)

The Browse Window shows all documents and other materials in the case, organized by their applicable folder, along with tagged information. This allows you to see and quickly edit if a document is 'key' of not, has been viewed previously by your or others, has notes attached, etc.
